Hello!

My name is Sydney and I have started this blog to share my partner Sam and I’s experience on the road travelling through the outback of Australia in our restored caravan, Twiggy. We are leaving from Western New South Whales and heading up to Broome, Western Australia. We have no strict time limit or exact plan of stops we are going to take along the way. We want to share our experiences with our family, friends, and anyone who plans on doing this road trip in the future. Restoring our caravan has been a huge project and I wanted to share our process and tips to motivate and help anyone wanting to restore their own van. We look forward to show case our adventures, especially our life as a couple in their mid 20’s living in a van (that’ll be an adventure enough!!).

Now, if you are our Australian friends I am sure you’re wondering who’s the bogan and who’s the beauty in this relationship, but ill let you guys decide… All I have to say is that Sam is the one that wears footy shorts with singlets and uses phrases like Fair Dink and “she’s a bloody pearla” regularly. To my Canadian friends and family, think the word bogan as an Australian hillbilly!!! All jokes aside, Sam and I met when I was backpacking Australia and now I am waiting for my approval of permanent residency in Australia. We both love to cook, find new music, care for the environment and the ocean deeply and we will hopefully use this blog to show what that looks like on the road, living in a caravan. We are both extremely excited and nervous and have absolutely no idea what to expect but we hope you enjoy our travels!
